Anthropic Reaches $965 Billion Valuation with Series H Funding Round

AI company Anthropic has achieved a $965 billion post-money valuation after raising $65 billion in Series H funding. The round was led by Altimeter Capital, Dragoneer, Greenoaks, and Sequoia Capital.

Claude Models and Revenue Growth

The company, known for its Claude series of large language models, said its run-rate revenue crossed $47 billion earlier this month.

Funding Details

The round was co-led by Capital Group, Coatue, D1 Capital Partners, GIC, Iconiq, and XN. It includes $15 billion of previously committed investments from hyperscalers, including $5 billion from Amazon.com.

Anthropic stated that the funding will be used to advance safety and interpretability research, expand compute to meet growing demand for Claude, and scale products and partnerships.

Industry Context

In March, OpenAI raised $122 billion at an $852 billion valuation. OpenAI is reportedly preparing to file confidentially for its IPO within the next weeks.
