Australian and New Zealand Markets Open Higher

Australian shares are expected to edge higher on Tuesday, supported by strong commodity prices boosting materials stocks and optimism over a potential Iran-U.S. peace deal.

The local share price index futures (YAPcm1) rose 0.3%, a 43.0-point premium to the underlying S&P/ASX 200 index (XJO). The benchmark gained 0.4% on Monday.

New Zealand's benchmark S&P/NZX 50 index (NZ50G) rose 1.6% in early trade.
