BP's Ousted Chair Albert Manifold Disputes Conduct Allegations

BP's ousted chairman, Albert Manifold, said he disputes the company's characterization of his conduct, and that he was removed without warning or explanation.

Manifold Responds to Dismissal

The British energy company said Tuesday that its board had decided that Manifold should no longer serve as chair, and that he would depart immediately. The company said the board had been made aware of governance oversight and conduct issues.

'I dispute entirely the characterization of my conduct and I will not allow a false narrative to go unchallenged,' Manifold said in an emailed statement.
