Indian Markets Flat at 10:10 AM IST

The benchmark BSE Sensex was flat at 76,008, while the broader NSE Nifty 50 index was little changed at 23,930, as caution prevailed over the shaky truce between the U.S. and Iran amid worries of an escalation in the Middle East conflict.

Rupee and Currency Market

The Indian rupee eased 0.1% versus the U.S. dollar to 95.7725, as hopes for an imminent end to the Middle East conflict ebbed, keeping portfolio and merchant flows skewed against the currency.

Government Bonds

The benchmark 10-year bond was quoted at 96.4825 rupees, with the yield nearly flat at 6.9971%, as softer oil prices offset caution over renewed U.S.-Iran tensions.

Swaps and Money Markets

The one-year overnight index swap rate was down 1 bp at 6.1275%, while the five-year swap rate also fell 1 bp to 6.6325%. India's overnight call money rate was at 5.45% and the overnight TREPS rate at 5.22%.
