Indian Shares Open Flat on Uncertainty Over US-Iran Truce

Indian shares opened little changed on Wednesday as caution prevailed over the shaky truce between the U.S. and Iran amid worries of an escalation in the Middle East conflict.

Iran claimed the U.S. violated the ceasefire by striking targets near the Strait of Hormuz, potentially complicating peace efforts. Israel also launched over 120 air strikes on Lebanon, straining the situation further.

Commodities and Indices Update

Brent crude hovered around $98 per barrel. The Nifty 50 rose 0.07% to 23,928.01, while the BSE Sensex added 0.05% to 76,047.25. Nine of 16 major sectors logged gains, with small-caps and mid-caps gaining about 0.3% each.
