Lazard Hires BofA's Daniel Burton-Morgan for New ECM Advisory Role

Investment bank Lazard (NYSE:LAZ) has hired industry veteran Daniel Burton-Morgan to lead a newly created advisory role, according to a source familiar with the matter. Burton-Morgan will serve as head of equity capital markets (ECM) advisory in North America.

Details and Strategic Move

Burton-Morgan joins from Bank of America (BAC), where he led ECM Americas financial sponsor origination. He will report to Tim Donahue, co-head of North America financial advisory and global head of capital solutions. The hire strengthens Lazard's ECM advisory franchise and is part of the 'Lazard 2030' strategy to expand the firm's managing director ranks.

Lazard has been focused on recruiting senior talent across core industry sectors and emerging growth areas. Earlier this month, it hired former Western Midstream Partners CEO Michael Ure as a senior adviser in its power, energy and infrastructure group.
