Transnet National Ports Authority Signs 25-Year Terminal Operator Agreement with Ukwanda LNG
Transnet National Ports Authority (TNPA) has signed a 25-year terminal operator agreement with Ukwanda LNG. The agreement covers the development of an onshore LNG regasification facility at the Port of Ngqura.
Investment and Job Creation
The project has an investment value of approximately R22 billion. It is expected to create over 500 jobs during the construction period of about 36 months and 50 permanent jobs post-construction.
This strategic partnership will strengthen South Africa's energy infrastructure and contribute to regional energy security.
