U.S. New Home Sales Fell in April
According to a report released by the Census Bureau and the Department of Housing and Urban Development, sales of new single-family homes fell to 622,000 in April from 663,000 in March. Economists had expected 663,000 sales.

The estimate for new houses for sale was 489,000 in April, compared with 481,000 in March. The median sales price of new houses sold in April was $422,500, up 8% from March.
