Uber Increases Stake in Delivery Hero
Uber (NYSE:UBER) has raised its stake in Germany's Delivery Hero (XETR:DHE0) to nearly 37% from 25%, after buying shares from fellow shareholder Aspex Management, according to regulatory filings and sources.
Preparing a New Bid
Sources say Uber is working on a new takeover bid following an indicative €33-per-share ($38.29) proposal on Saturday. Delivery Hero's CEO Niklas Oestberg announced he would step down after calls for a strategic review from major shareholders.
Delivery Hero shares fell 3.6% to €37.93. Aspex Management nearly halved its stake to 7.56% from 14.55%.
