Waymo Unveils New Autonomous Vehicle Ojai Developed with Zeekr

Waymo, Google's self-driving startup, has launched a new autonomous vehicle called Ojai, designed in partnership with Chinese EV maker Zeekr. Public riders will soon be able to take autonomous trips in the Ojai.

Ojai Features

The Ojai is the first Waymo vehicle purpose-built as a self-driving taxi. It features elevator-style sliding doors, a low step, and a completely flat floor. The vehicle is equipped with Waymo's 6th-generation driver hardware.

Rollout Cities

The Ojai will initially be available to select riders in San Francisco, Phoenix, and Los Angeles for free. Service will expand to Denver, Las Vegas, and San Diego in the coming months, and open to the general public later this year.
